Import Data From Gemini

US Traders can easily calculate their taxes from trading on Gemini and create the right tax documents to submit to the IRS. Digitax fully supports Gemini and makes reporting your transactions very easy.

We need to get your transactions from Gemini. We'll be using Gemini's API to get your data.

While other providers allow you to import CSVs, we enforce using the API as this will be less error prone. Futhermore, for your security, Digitax will never save your API keys.

API Instructions

  • 1)

    Login to your Gemini account on the website. Upon log-in, you'll be brought to Gemini's exchange.

  • 2)

    On the top righthand corner, click on the Account button and in the drop-down menu, select Settings.

  • 3)

    Scroll down the page, and on the lefthand toolbar, click on API.

  • 4)

    Click on the Create A New API Key button. You may be prompted for two factor authentication.

  • 5)

    In the new form, copy and paste both the API Key and Secret Key to a text editor safe keeping.

  • 6)

    Check the Auditor box, and the acknowledgement of never seeing the Secret Key again.

    • For your security, please double check to make sure Fund Management and Trading are NOT selected.

  • 7)

    Press Confirm and you're done.

  • 8)

    Use the API Key and Secret Key on Digitax's import form to upload your transactions.
